I don’t know what’s worse: that some people are under the impression that there is a singular, definitive reading to each and every text in existence, or that they can’t grasp that postmodernism happened and old texts and source materials can be taken and re-examined, remixed, and reworked to tell new stories or integrate new ideas into them without destroying the original text. Thank god that there are intelligent, articulate people out there to shut them down.
